about

hi, i'm illunaris!

he/they | uk | 1999

this is my corner of the internet, where i can put all my favourite things as well as my creations. i'm still learning coding, so please be patient while things look a bit rougher!

like many others, i've found that the current status of the internet simply does not make me happy. i've noticed how public online spaces have begun pushing algorithmic content at me more and more, while the people i know irl post less and less. for a long time now i've been sharing my art and other creations exclusively with close friends through discord. after all, those are the opinons that should matter most, right? but i've found myself wanting to present my stuff in a more cohesive way, other platforms weren't cutting it. i'm not good at tech, but i'll work through it if it means more freedom and independence.

updates

26/04/25: lolita section is actually now mostly functional! not sure if there are any more features i want to add, maybe a few more favourite pieces. i'd love some flatlay coords but i'd have to take the pictures for that so we'll see. i'm retiring the 'night' and 'pokemon' sections for now to work on my worldbuilding page and get that into a finished state before i move on to other things.

15/04/25: work has properly started on my pokemon page! i haven't totally decided what information i'm going to include or if i'll do illustrations for it, but the structure is there. I also added the 'my world' page for an introduction to my worldbuilding, which I want to find a distinct theme for and add more information. on top of that, i have an idea for how i want to implement the 'blorbo' page - hopefully as a character select type screen, although that might be a little harder to implement. we'll see!

14/04/25: added the sketch version of the header image and i'm kind of in love with it :D the shapes turned out perfect. only issue is... now i need to translate it to proper lineart. pray for me.

13/04/25: neocities is once again really difficult... i'm having a crack at a sidebar again. it's funny how something so ubiquitous has managed to elude me for so long! somehow, nothing i do ends up working. today i hope i can finally crack it so i can focus on content instead of structure. i would like to put my 'to-do' section in the sidebar, as well as my links. i thiiink navigation should stay at the top, but i definitely want it to be cuter!! i'll be on the lookout for nicer images for lists, maybe a background image for the content containers.
